Nearly a month after we caught a glimpse of the Tesla Model S with 19-inch Tempest wheels, and a few months after the Tempest wheels first released for the vehicle, a new photo has surfaced showing what the rims look like without the covers.

On Thursday, pictures of the refreshed Tesla Model S with 19-inch wheels without the covers surfaced, depicting the simple two-fork rims beneath (via Reddit). The pictured vehicle’s rims are a brushed silver color, nearly matching the midnight silver paint job.

In the thread, the user said it was not their Model S refresh, but that they had ordered one with the same specs – with black rims instead. In response, another user Photoshopped the uncovered rims to appear black to match the configuration ordered by the original poster, as seen below:

Tesla recently brought back the red caliper set temporarily for an additional $2,300 USD, though the pictured model also doesn’t include that accessory. Instead, it depicts the silvered-out brake caliper, which has a similar color and can hardly be seen behind the rims.

On Friday, it was also noticed that Tesla increased the price of its order fee to $250 in the U.S. and Canada from just $100, affecting any prospective buyers of the Model S (and other Tesla cars) who haven’t made their purchases yet.
