We just received confirmation from Downey, California-based TEIN USA that the Flex Z coilovers for Tesla Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) are in production. This will mark the first coilover product from the Japanese accessory maker for Tesla vehicles.
According to TEIN USA in an email to Tesla North, the company anticipates its new Flex Z coilovers will hit the market in “late November” of 2021.
According to TEIN, no pricing for this upcoming entry coilover product line is available yet. As for a coilover option for Model 3 All-Wheel Drive (AWD) versions, that isn’t available yet, as it’s likely TEIN is targeting entry versions of Tesla’s electric sedan.
This is a welcome aftermarket coilover option from an established accessory maker for the Model 3, and we’re eager to see how it stacks up. The aftermarket for Tesla modifications and accessories continues to grow. We’ll keep you updated, so stay tuned for more.
