New Tesla Superchargers Coming to Washington, D.C. Area and More
A major part of the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) will require mass expansion of the EV charging network, and as more and more people buy EVs, Tesla is also working hard to keep up.
According to a recent update to Tesla’s Find Us page, 14 new Supercharger stations are expected to hit the Washington D.C. area, in addition to 4 that are currently under construction (via PluginSites).
Tesla notes that specific timing and locations may vary, though the following Supercharger stations are expected to hit the Washington, D.C. area in the near future.

In recent weeks, Tesla also announced plans to open its Supercharger network to other EV brands, with CEO Elon Musk detailing how other company’s will be able to use the Supercharger network.
Earlier this year, a Tesla employee also confirmed that all Supercharger energy will be renewable in 2021, though the company only uses hydro-power in Quebec, and has just recently opened the first solar-powered Tesla Supercharger, located in Shanghai, China.
