Tesla plans to offer factory tours of Giga Shanghai, according to Tesla China Vice President Grace Tao.
The Tesla China VP was replying to a user request asking tours of the factory for owners and Tao replied, according to a Google Translation, “there will be plans.”
According to a direct translation from @ray4tesla, Tao said, “will have it”, noting “being planned now,” with the reply coming from her iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Replies to Tao’s answer were swift, with numerous Tesla owners indicating they would be first to sign up, while others noted Tao ‘can’t sleep’ given her reply timestamp of after midnight. Others chimed in about their recent Model Y purchases and how happy they were with the new car.
Tesla has offered tours for owners of its factory in Fremont, California, prior to COVID-19, available during the weekday lasting an hour long. It’ll be quite the spectacle to go inside Tesla’s Giga Shanghai and see up close what one looks like in person. So far, we’ve seen Tesla offer some private tours for media, but a tour tailored for owners surely would be a real treat.
