Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk wants to chat with Russian President Vladimir Putin, on the app Clubhouse of all places.
On Saturday afternoon, Musk directed a tweet at the President of Russia’s official Twitter account, saying, “would you like join me for a conversation on Clubhouse?”.
Clubhouse is a mobile app that allows participants to chat freely and others to listen in, and currently is gaining in popularity as it’s in an invite-only launch stage.
Musk followed up his tweet by also writing in Russian, “было бы большой честью поговорить с вами,” which translates to, “it would be a great honor to speak with you.”
Now, it’s unclear why Musk is reaching out to Putin for a chat, given ongoing U.S. tensions with Russia. Maybe Musk wants to talk with Putin about building a Gigafactory in the country? Your guess is as good as ours, but let’s find out if Putin will be interested in playing ball with Musk on Clubhouse.
