On Sunday, YouTube channel Daily Motor shared a new video showing off its 2021 Standard Range Rear-Wheel Drive Tesla Model Y, newly-purchased by the hosts.
In addition to purchasing Tesla’s SUV, the channel also made it a point to purchase the cheapest available Model Y option, including all of the vehicle’s base options and the standard white paint job.
It’s important to note that this is not the 7-seater edition, since that’s an upgrade to the base Model Y selection.
The host first shows the Model Y stationary in a parking lot, and goes through many of the features to talk about the vehicle, before taking it out for a test drive.
During the test drive, the host mentions that he’s driven a number of other electric vehicles (EVs), and while he doesn’t consider the Model Y the “most luxurious EV out there,” he does say it’s general driving feel is unmatched by other EVs.
This particular Model Y doesn’t seem to have some of the issues that have plagued other 2021 Model Ys, most notably that the panels fit together correctly on this one. The only quality control issue the host mentions is a small rattling sound that emanates from the windshield area while driving.
