First Look: Tesla 2020.48.35.1 FSD Beta Software Update [VIDEO]
On Sunday, Tesla released its 2020.48.35.1 software update for Full Self-Driving beta testers, the 10th version of the beta release and first of 2021.
We’re now seeing the first drive of this new beta, shared by James Locke.

“Did well on my test loop 1, still having issues seeing the speed bumps soon enough but that will come with time and more data,” said Locke.
“Also experienced an interesting issue with lane selection but let it play out as was safe to do so and car corrected itself in time for an upcoming left turn,” detailed Locke, adding, “Overall [seeing] improvements with speed control, also noticing improved left turn decision making which will be on my next video.”
Below is a “beautiful” uncontrolled left turn where Locke says he is seeing some big improvements in this latest FSD beta release:
Also new are updated visualizations in this update, with a larger Autopilot icon and mph icon, as seen below in a Model S:

So far, FSD beta remains only in the United States in a limited capacity, with an expected expansion for Canada soon, according to Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
