When will Tesla release Full Self-Driving subscriptions? According to the latest update from CEO Elon Musk, customers can expect them in early 2021.
When asked by @padgeuk about annual FSD subscriptions for leasing customers, Musk replied, “Absolutely. We will release FSD subscription early next year.”
Back in October, Musk said FSD monthly subscriptions would be coming “sometime next year”, but now we have a more specific timeline for 2021.
Currently, Full Self-Driving is an Autopilot add-on that costs $10,000 USD. For those leasing a Tesla, it does not make sense to pay for the upgrade on a vehicle one will not be keeping.
Monthly FSD subscriptions would also benefit those seeking the add-on for road trips and such, instead of paying the full amount upfront.
Are you looking forward to FSD subscriptions? Currently, FSD beta which adds more hands-off self-driving features, is only available to a limited number of users in the United States.
