
Last month we saw footage of Tesla road testing its Model at its Gigafactory in Shanghai, China, and now we’re seeing more footage of the same, the clearest view yet, as shared by Wu Wa on YouTube.
In a video filmed on December 10, 2020, we see numerous Model Ys being tested at Giga Shanghai, along a straight road course laid down with speed bumps and such, which we assume is to put the vehicle’s suspension to the test in some capacity, in the 10-minute video.

During its Q3 2020 earnings release, Tesla said it is currently “building Model Y capacity at Gigafactory Shanghai, Gigafactory Berlin and Gigafactory Texas,” emphasizing they “remain on track to start deliveries from each location in 2021.”
In late November, the Chinese government approved Tesla to sell its Shanghai-made Model Y in the country, ahead of expected deliveries in the New Year. A Tesla VP in China said earlier this month Model Y production would start in the first half of 2021. Exciting times are ahead for Tesla and its factory in China.
