Tesla’s Gigafactory 3 in Shanghai continues its construction for its Model Y factory, as seen in a 4K drone update filmed by Jason Yang.

What makes this video shot on November 26, 2020 interesting, is the fact again see Tesla testing its Model Y at the site, explains Yang.

“I have seen Tesla Model Y for testing in GF3 many times, which means that GF3 will soon be able to mass produce model Y, just waiting for the production license and sales license,” he explains.

You can see from the screenshot below, we see yet another Model Y in “camo” wrap, which has been popping up around the site lately.

According to @Ray4Tesla, he notes on top of the Model Y track testing in the video, there are also “five others parked next to the Y assembly building. Q1 is secured.”

“The new track on the southwest side is dedicated to Y testing. The roof slope of the test vehicle looks like a Y,” added Ray.

Currently, Tesla’s Model 3 plant in Shanghai is able to produce 250,000 Model 3 units annually. What about Model Y?

During its Q3 2020 earnings release, Tesla said it is currently “building Model Y capacity at Gigafactory Shanghai, Gigafactory Berlin and Gigafactory Texas,” emphasizing they “remain on track to start deliveries from each location in 2021.”

Again, once Tesla starts production for Model Y in China, the SUV will definitely start selling like hotcakes, just like the Model 3. These are exciting times for Tesla in China.
