Tesla Drops Price of Model 3 in Germany in Q4 Delivery Push
Earlier in the year, Tesla CEO Elon Musk hinted that the company may be on track to deliver half a million vehicles by the end of 2020. The goal is astounding, to be sure, but Tesla is certainly doing every little thing within its power to try to achieve the milestone.
In its newest attempt to push for the goal, Tesla has started offering discount prices for both refreshed and non-refreshed, 2020 Long Range Model 3 units in Germany, according to a report by Teslarati. The discounts apply specifically to Long Range units, as well as those with the 18″ Aero rim option for refreshed variants, and to pre-refreshed vehicles as well – the largest price cut of which was awarded to the Long Range Model 3 Performance.
The newly-priced Model 3s cost €52,420 ($63,415 USD) for the refreshed unit, €52,920 ($64,020 USD) for certain pre-refreshed variants, and between €61,570 ($74,485 USD) and €57,930 ($70,081 USD) for the Performance model.

In the Q3 earnings meeting, Tesla CFO Zachary Kirkhorn said, “We’re also aiming to achieve our original 2020 guidance of 500,000 deliveries despite the operational interruptions earlier in the year. While this goal remains a genuine challenge, we believe it’s possible with tight execution across the company.”
Tesla has under a month to hit its goal of half a million vehicles by the end of 2020. Whether it does or not though, it’s impossible to deny that the company has had a mind-blowing year, and 2021’s not likely to be much different.
