Shanghai Parking Lot Shows Hundreds of Tesla Model 3s Awaiting Export [VIDEO]
After recent Shanghai legislation limiting non-Shanghai registered vehicles from driving during business hours, Tesla has been extremely busy at its stores, and is expected to pick up some major steam as a result of the law passing. And in the meantime, customers in Europe await their units of the made in China (MIC) Model 3, set for delivery within the next couple of months.
A new video posted by YouTube channel 特斯拉上海超級工廠 shows a massive parking lot, called Parking Lot 54, full of Tesla Model 3s. While it isn’t clear from the video what exactly the Model 3s are for, many speculated that they were preparing to be shipped from the China parking lot to Tesla customers in Europe.
The sheer amount of Model 3s in the video is pretty astonishing on its own, but at a time when Teslas are at an all-time high demand, it’s interesting to see so many vacant Teslas sitting in a random lot. The video was filmed on October 31, 2020.
It’s unclear if these cars are showing the new Model 3 headlights recently seen in China.

The new traffic regulation laws passed in Shanghai make exceptions to all Tesla units, through the use of a green Shanghai license plate which permits the vehicles to drive through Shanghai uninterrupted by the new legislation.
Wherever these Model 3s end up (most likely in Europe), the future owners of these cars seemingly chose a perfect time to buy, with Tesla growing substantially with each passing day.
