The current Waco Supercharger is located at 701 S. Interstate Highway 35, in Bellmead, located within McLennan County. There are 10 charging stalls on site capable of up to 150 kW charging rates.
The proposed start date is September 7, 2020, with a target completion date of December 28, 2020, with an estimated cost of $190,000 USD.
The project would be privately funded by Tesla and would be on private land for private use, reads the filing, with project number TABS2021000036.
“Tesla is installing an electric vehicle charging station that will include (12) charging stalls,” reads the filing’s scope of work. Four of these stalls will be handicap accessible, it explains, with the project square footage set at 2,700.
