CAA Atlantic has teamed up with not-for-profit low carbon transportation initiative, Next Ride, to offer free Tesla Model 3 test drives in Nova Scotia.
“The Next Ride team is touring Nova Scotia to help Nova Scotians experience the excitement of an electric ride, and discover all the ways electric vehicles are more affordable and versatile than ever,” explains the organization’s website. Next Ride was created in 2019 to increase EV adoption in Nova Scotia.
According to Electric Autonomy, CAA Atlantic debuted its Tesla Model 3, purchased last year funded from the Connect2 grant program, which funds clean energy projects.
Next Ride website test drives available…tough choices…
“Public education on cleaner and greener transportation is needed, and we want to positively contribute to that,” adding “We’re here to … show the public how easy it is to transition,” said Gary Howard, senior vice president of communications at CAA Atlantic.
The Tesla Model 3, shown decked out in CAA graphics, will be available for test drives through online bookings, available in the Halifax Regional Municipality, for July and August. Other dates will soon follow, while all test drives will follow COVID-19 cleaning protocols.
As for other vehicles available for test drives? A Chevy Bolt and Hyundai Kona are also available, although we suspect the Tesla Model 3 will be the most popular.
