Tesla Wins the First Ever ‘Connected Cars’ Survey by PCMag
It’s no secret that many consider Tesla to be one of the most innovative carmakers in the world, and it’s won many awards for its vehicles. It appears as though that trend is not waning, as Tesla topped the rankings (via InsideEVs) on a recent survey from PC Magazine. For those who are unaware, PC Magazine is a respected computer publication that printed its first issue 38 years ago, in 1982.
The new section of the survey referred to a vehicle’s “connectivity”, and many considered Tesla’s vehicles to be the “most connected” on the market. The definition of “connectivity” in this case took into consideration not only navigation capabilities, but infotainment, dashboard interface, and wireless support. Tesla was the clear winner among PC Magazine readers.
This doesn’t come as a massive surprise, considering that Tesla vehicles actually update “over the air.” Tesla received a 9.5 score in “connectivity satisfaction”. Hyundai came in second place, with a score of 8.8, and Kia came in third with a point of 8.6.
It should also be noted that Tesla was not only #1 in connectivity, but also came in #1 in terms of overall satisfaction. When it came to overall satisfaction, Tesla scored a 9.6 on the survey.
