Elon Musk Supports Kanye West’s 2020 Presidential Bid
Many Americans are focused on the 2020 election and who will be next to lead the country – but it appears as though rapper/entrepreneur Kanye West is throwing his hat into the ring. West tweeted out last night that he is running for office, and added the hashtag #2020Vision. West had previously spoken about running in 2020, then stated that he was running in 2024 late last year. West emphasized the need to “trust God” in his tweet, which went viral immediately.
We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States 🇺🇸! #2020VISION

Kim Kardashian West, the rapper’s wife, tweeted out an American flag in support of her husband. Elon Musk tweeted that West has his “full support” only minutes after West’s announcement. His tweet went viral as well:
You have my full support!

West made the announcement with only a few months left before the election, and some are suggesting that the tweet is nothing more than a publicity stunt. The friendship between Musk and West appears to be real, as the two apparently hung out several days ago. West, on July 1, tweeted that Musk was his “boy” and commented on the fact that they were both wearing orange:

Musk’s tweet also sparked rumors that he would run as Kanye West’s vice president, but Musk would not be able to, given the fact that he is not a natural-born USA citizen.
