Elon Musk Addresses Ghislaine Maxwell Pic as Being ‘Photobombed’

There has been new attention surrounding Ghislaine Maxwell after she was arrested several days ago. For those who are unaware, Maxwell is accused of recruiting young girls for Jeffrey Epstein, a billionaire who died last year under mysterious circumstances after being charged for sex trafficking. Yesterday, a picture of Elon Musk and Ghislaine Maxwell went viral on Twitter. A user by the name of @JustinAHorwitz tweeted out the photograph and stated that “This should be a bigger story.”

Musk decided to respond, claiming that Maxwell had “photobombed” him at a Vanity Fair Oscars party and that he “didn’t know her at all.” He also stated that he was at the party with Talulah Riley. Riley is the ex-wife of Musk. He also seemed to question why Maxwell was invited to the party in the first place, as well.

Interestingly enough, Business Insider reported several months ago that Epstein was hoping to get closer to Musk by setting up his brother, Kimbal Musk, with a girlfriend. Another Twitter user claimed that it was clear that Epstein was trying to “get his hands” on Elon Musk somehow but that it didn’t work. Musk seemingly confirmed this perspective with a two-word tweet: “Pretty much.”

Maxwell was arrested in New Hampshire and she was charged with six counts. One of the counts includes “transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.”
