Some have said that the Tesla Model Y is the best electric vehicle that Tesla makes. Some have shared complaints over minor absences in the vehicle’s design. In any case, there’s no doubting the fact that the Model Y has certainly been receiving lots of attention since its launch in March. But just how well does the vehicle stack up against previous Tesla electric vehicles such as the Model 3? A new video from Car Confections dives in to take a close up look.
As the video states, there are several similarities between the two electric vehicles. However, the Model Y takes some particular design features to the next level. As stated, the higher level of the Model Y makes it a much better choice for offroad driving than the Model 3. Of course, this part of the design is intentional, as the vehicle represents Tesla’s first electric sport utility vehicle.
The Model Y interior and the Model 3 interior carry many similar features. In the Model Y, however, the seats are placed on blocks to elevate their positions. Enhanced width in the interior of the Model Y also gives drivers and passengers more room. Of course, there are many more changes present in the Model Y. Taking a look at the rest of the video, it’s clear that Tesla implemented several new approaches in their latest electric vehicle.
