Video Conferencing Feature Coming to Teslas Says Elon Musk

There’s more good news for Tesla drivers and enthusiasts. As Tesla CEO Elon Musk remains active on Twitter responding to fan questions, an interesting one came up on May 5th. When a fan asked the question, “Do you think we could get video conferencing within a Tesla” Elon Musk replied, “Yeah, definitely a future feature.”
Yeah, definitely a future feature

It’s plausible that Tesla vehicles already have all that’s needed for video conferencing features. Their vehicles come equipped with a comprehensive camera system. Their vehicles’ software runs several complicated apps requiring demands far beyond those of video conferencing. However, as with most other features the electric vehicle maker implements, video conferencing has not been in high demand.
But Tesla holds the safety of its drivers in high regard. As a result, any video conferencing features would need to mitigate risks such as distracted driving. With the current global pandemic, video conferencing has seen a major uptick in interest and activity. It only makes sense for Tesla to roll out features that allow for smooth video conferences in their vehicles.
At this stage, the company has not released any official statements regarding the implementation of video conferencing. With Tesla Model Y sales generating impressive numbers and Battery Day approaching, it may be some time.
