Elon Musk Teases Information About Potential Cybertruck Factory Location
Speculation over the location of the new Tesla Cybertruck factory continues to confound Tesla enthusiasts. There have been some unique suggestions thus far. Earlier in the year, Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk tweeted to suggest the factory might be located in the central US. Some unconventional bid proposals from various US cities have further mystified the issue. However, in a new tweet from Elon Musk, we get some information about the possible location of the Tesla Cybertruck factory.
As the CEO often does, he recently responded to a user question on Twitter. In the question, a user asked “Speaking about Austin —— is giga Texas still on the table ?” In response, Musk simply replied saying “Yes.” While the answer suggests some hope for an Austin, Texas location, it’s certainly no confirmation.

A subsequent tweet from the electric vehicle manufacturer’s CEO hinted toward a location closer to the East Coast of the US. In the tweet Musk said, “Needs to be more than halfway to east coast.”

While the tweets from Musk shed some light on plausible locations for the factory, nothing is set in stone just yet. The company plans to have deliveries of the Cybertruck rolling out by 2021. In this case, it’s likely that a final decision on the factory’s location will be made soon.
