Tesla’s worked to appeal to a broader audience with this vehicle. As such, they’ve added convenient features such as the radar heater. Simply put, the radar heater works alongside the vehicle’s vision to optimize performance in cold climates. As Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted in November 2018, “Long-term, the car will work purely on vision, with radar just a plus, but maybe worth adding a radar heater anyway.” The Tesla Model Y continues to impress drivers.
