Tesla Teases Personalized FSD Choices as Fans Pitch New Vehicle Shapes

Tesla Model Y on a road

Elon Musk asked Tesla followers on Saturday, “How would you like your FSD?”, adding fuel to a viral discussion about whether buyers could eventually choose among more vehicle shapes while keeping Tesla’s Full Self-Driving technology at the centre of the experience.

The post had reached about 4.8 million views, 13,000 likes, 3,700 replies and 1,200 reposts after Musk quote-posted Tesla fan Viv, who wrote, “People want FSD, so they go to tesla.com and pick what shape they want it in”. Viv’s original post from the night before had about 4.2 million views.

Replies quickly turned into a wish list for future Tesla vehicles. Viv responded, “Triangles are my favorite shape”, a nod to the Cybertruck, while the @RealTeslaNorth account wrote, “Need something like a minivan to seat 7”.

Other users pushed for larger vehicles and new performance variants. @cybrtrkguy wrote, “3 row full size SUV for me And a 500 mile Cybertruck while we’re at it”, while @DBurkland said, “I want it in a new Model S Plaid+ package with active aero”.

The broader fan-designer concept imagines FSD becoming a core Tesla product experience that can be paired with a wider range of body styles, rather than buyers choosing primarily between existing models. Personalization could also extend beyond vehicle shape, potentially letting owners select how they want the driving experience configured if Tesla eventually offers more user-facing FSD settings or behaviour choices.

Musk’s question does not confirm any new vehicle, feature or customization system, but it shows Tesla is watching how owners think about FSD as part of the buying decision. The discussion also highlights continued demand among some fans for vehicles outside Tesla’s current lineup, including a minivan, larger three-row SUV and longer-range Cybertruck.

What comes next will depend on whether Tesla turns any of that feedback into production plans or new FSD options. For now, Musk’s post has given owners another opening to tell the company exactly what kind of Tesla they want to drive.
