SpaceXAI is giving creators a new way to earn rewards from custom Grok Bots, with a limited pilot program now tying payments to Bot usage.
X Corp’s Grok Bot Template Rewards Pilot Program Terms, effective September 25, 2026, outline a system that provides discretionary payments to creators whose public Bot templates drive user activity. The program is not a revenue share and does not guarantee income.
Under the pilot, X pays eligible creators in USD through its creator payout process. Rewards are initially calculated every two weeks and are based on the quality and quantity of usage from people interacting with public Bot templates.
Sawyer Merritt said in a post that SpaceXAI has introduced “Grok @Bot Creator Rewards,” with rewards issued every two weeks. He said payouts are based on how many people use a creator’s Bots and how often those Bots are used.
Merritt also shared requirements for eligible templates, including posting about public Bots at least twice per pay period, having X Money set up, and receiving payouts through X’s Original Content Rewards system for now. His post included a paid partnership disclosure. Merritt said he earned $500 in the last two weeks from his Home Robots template.
The official terms state that participation is invitation only during the pilot. Eligible creators must be at least 18 years old, live in a US state where X Money is supported, maintain an active Grok Bot and X account in good standing, have a verified email address, hold an X Premium tier or be an eligible Premium Business affiliate, and have an active X Money account.
Creators participating in the program must keep promotional posts public and unedited. X Corp also reserves the right to change or end the program at any time.
The terms name SpaceXAI and Cursor, operated by Anysphere, as third-party beneficiaries of the agreement. The pilot creates a new incentive for creators to build and promote Bots, while the long-term structure of the rewards system remains subject to change. The program arrives as SpaceXAI continues expanding the Grok lineup, including the recent release of Grok 4.7.
