Tesla has flipped the switch on two new Supercharger stations in northern British Columbia, Canada, bringing 8 stalls to Terrace and 4 more to Vanderhoof.
Tesla Charging announced the new sites Tuesday, sharing a photo of a Model 3 charging at the Terrace station. The two openings add 12 stalls to the network in northern B.C., a region where long-distance EV travel has long depended on sparse charging options.
The company also confirmed three new U.S. stations in the same wave: Chattanooga, Tennessee on Birmingham Highway with 8 stalls, Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Millerville Road with 8 stalls, and Suffern, New York with 8 stalls, which was announced as an EVIO Supercharger site.
The B.C. expansion continues Tesla’s steady buildout across Canada. The company announced plans for more than 630 new Supercharging stalls across the country, and earlier this month it put the finishing touches on a 44-stall V4 site in Ajax, Ontario set to become Canada’s largest Supercharger. Charging options in B.C. are also growing beyond Tesla’s own network, with BC Hydro opening its first EV charger with Tesla connectors in the province.
Next, watch for Tesla to keep filling gaps along northern corridors like Highway 16, where the Terrace and Vanderhoof sites make trips between Prince George and Prince Rupert far more practical. With V4 cabinets now rolling out in Canada, future B.C. sites could also bring faster charging speeds to the region.
