Tesla Canada is inviting the public to Tesla Kelowna on Saturday, September 19, 2026, to watch a long-owned Model S cross one million kilometers with its original motors and suspension still in place.
One million kilometers is roughly 621,000 miles, or about 25 trips around Earth at the equator. For an electric sedan from 2016, hitting that mark without swapping the drive units or springs is the durability story Tesla wants shoppers to see in person. The store’s official event page frames it as a legacy owner milestone, not a world-record claim, and notes the car is scheduled to arrive on site as the odometer flips.
The free celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tesla Kelowna, 3425 Circuit Road, Kelowna, British Columbia V1V 0C1. Tesla lists games, pizza, and ice cream on the agenda, plus demo drives for guests who are at least 18 and hold a valid license. RSVP is through Tesla’s event form on the same page.
The Okanagan store is still a relatively new hub for Interior B.C. owners who once drove hours for full service. Pairing that local footprint with a million-kilometer Model S arrival is a straightforward pitch: the hardware that started Tesla’s mass-market era can still stack serious distance when maintained, and Canada’s sales-and-service network now reaches farther inland to support it.
