Asiana Airlines confirmed on September 15, 2026, that complimentary high-speed cabin Wi-Fi powered by Starlink is now live onboard, and Starlink posted the same day that the service is available on the carrier.
The airline says passengers can use the free connection for HD streaming, real-time messaging, gaming, and everyday connectivity at altitude. That lands alongside the broader Hanjin Group push that already put free Starlink on Korean Air’s first retrofitted jets the same calendar day, covered when Korean Air outlined its September 15 start on four widebodies.
Asiana’s day-one Starlink fleet is larger: nine Airbus A350-900s and one A330-300, mainly on medium- and long-haul routes to the Americas, Europe, and Southeast Asia, with more of those types to follow. Korean Air opened with three A350-900s and one Boeing 777-300ER. Both carriers are offering free access across all cabin classes ahead of their December integration, and both sit in a wider airline wave that includes recent European launches such as Austrian Airlines in Vienna and earlier free cabin Wi-Fi on British Airways.
For travelers booked on Asiana specifically, the distinction matters. This is not a Korean Air-only cabin story. If your itinerary is on Asiana’s Starlink-equipped A350s or the A330-300, expect the LEO-class speeds other Starlink airlines advertise for streaming and cloud work, with the usual onboard portal flow rather than a separate membership signup.
