The Boring Company raised a $3 billion Series D funding round led by the United Arab Emirates and affiliated investment entities, valuing the tunneling company at $23 billion, the firm said on September 9, 2026, in an announcement that also deepens a push to build more than 150 kilometers of tunnel across the UAE beyond the existing Dubai Loop award.
“The Boring Company is pleased to announce our Series D funding round of $3 billion, led by the United Arab Emirates,” the company wrote on its Series D details page and mirrored on X. “The financing now values The Boring Company at $23 billion.” Other named investors include Human Capital, Vy Capital, Valor Equity Partners, Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz (A16Z), Temasek, Shamal Holding, and Baron Capital, plus additional existing and new backers. The UAE check is framed as building on Dubai Loop collaboration and accelerating mass underground infrastructure under a landmark agreement separate from that earlier project.
The company says the past two years moved it from a single operating Loop system to a multi-city program with faster Prufrock machines, a first hard-rock dig, a first international construction contract, and a larger Vegas Loop. Newer Prufrocks can launch from a transporter called The Monster without a traditional pit, and Boring has pushed Zero-People-in-Tunnel mining plus autonomous ring building monitored from Texas. That cash lands as the firm keeps showing active digs, including twin Prufrock machines cutting Nashville limestone, while Elon Musk’s long-running “defeat traffic” line sits atop the Series D page. A $23 billion mark and a UAE-led $3 billion check put real money behind scaling Loop past Vegas and Dubai.
