xAI’s Louise Giam told a Tesla owner to stay tuned after she asked whether Grok Bot can connect to a Tesla so she can talk to Grok and assign tasks to her agents while she drives.
Maya, posting as buildwithmaya on August 28, called it a long shot and tagged Elon Musk with the request, saying it would be wild to get stuff done during a commute. Giam, who works on Grok Chat and Voice at xAI, replied a few hours later and tagged Musk and the Grok Bot account.
Giam did not name a product, a software version, or a date. The two-word reply is the whole official hint so far. Tesla already puts Grok in the cabin, including the Summer Release that uses Grok Think Fast 2.0 and earlier voice-driving features.
What Maya asked for is a step past in-car chat. She wants the Grok Bot agent stack, the same bot people use to assign work, talking through the car so a commute can turn into a task list. xAI has been pushing Grok Voice as a speech-to-speech model, including on Starlink’s support line.
Musk has not replied in the thread, and xAI has not said when, or whether, Grok Bot will show up in Tesla’s voice stack.
