SpaceX is hiring a Bengaluru supply-chain team for Starlink user-terminal manufacturing while India’s commercial Starlink launch stays frozen on pending security clearances.
As of August 23, SpaceX’s careers board listed four Bengaluru openings: senior supplier development engineers for injection molding and RF integration, another supplier development engineer role, and a global supply manager. At least three of the postings tie to Starlink hardware work, a shift from finance and compliance hiring SpaceX advertised in India in late 2025. CNBC-TV18 first flagged the cluster after reviewing the Greenhouse listings.
The RF integration job covers quality and scalability of consumer dish manufacturing at SpaceX’s global suppliers—not satellites. Duties include RF test cases and calibration at external plants, yield root-cause work, and manufacturability feedback to design teams. The Bengaluru-based role can require up to 50 percent travel to Southeast Asia suppliers, mirroring Starlink supplier-development hubs in Singapore and Hanoi.
Commercial service in India has no public start date. Security agencies under the Ministry of Home Affairs have withheld final clearances since June, even after a Unified Licence with GMPCS authorization and IN-SPACe Gen 1 approval in 2025. On August 20, Starlink filed a fresh Gen 2 IN-SPACe application. Elon Musk wrote the next day that Starlink would help the least served in India, especially in rural areas.
The push fits SpaceX’s wider Starlink build-out, from Qatar Airways’ 150 Starlink-equipped widebodies to remote enterprise links like TGS seismic work above the Arctic Circle. Bengaluru’s roles prepare the dish supply chain even while retail India waits on clearances.
