SpaceX Signs Massive $920 Million Monthly Cloud Deal With Google For AI
SpaceX has entered into a massive new partnership with Google to provide the tech giant with a substantial amount of computing power.
According to an official filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, SpaceX submitted an amendment to its registration statement on June 3, 2026. The document details that on June 5, 2026, SpaceX “entered into a Cloud Service Agreement with Google LLC (“Google”) with respect to access to compute capacity.”
Under the terms of the agreement, SpaceX will give Google access to a massive computing infrastructure. The filing states that “the compute capacity provided includes approximately 110,000 NVIDIA GPUs, CPUs, memory, and other related components.”
The financial scale of the deal is enormous. “Pursuant to the agreement, the customer has agreed to pay us $920 million per month from October 2026 through June 2029, with capacity ramping up through September at a reduced fee.”
The contract includes strict deadlines for the aerospace company. “If we fail to deliver access to the committed amount of GPUs by September 30, 2026, then following a one-month grace period, Google may immediately terminate the agreement or accept the number of GPUs provided, with a corresponding pro rata reduction in the monthly fees.” Furthermore, “after December 31, 2026, the agreement may be terminated by either party upon 90 days’ notice.”
The contract also outlines the protection of proprietary information, ensuring that “the customer will retain ownership of, and intellectual property rights in, its content, AI models, and data.”
This unexpected deal highlights a major expansion for SpaceX into the high-performance computing and artificial intelligence infrastructure market, positioning it as a massive player in the AI hardware race. The news also comes ahead of its highly anticipated IPO set for June 12.
