Tesla FSD Just Drove Itself Across All of Canada Without Anyone Touching the Wheel

Three Tesla fans have completed what they’re calling the world’s first fully autonomous coast-to-coast drive across Canada, covering 3,760 miles (6,051 kilometres) from British Columbia to Nova Scotia without a single human intervention.

David Moss, Devin Olsen, and Spencer left Horseshoe Bay Terminal in Vancouver on Monday and arrived at the Tesla Showroom in Halifax four days and 21 hours later. The drive was completed using Tesla FSD version 14.3.3 and a public tracker confirmed zero disengagements the entire trip, including at Supercharger parking lots.

Canada didn’t make it easy. The route took them through Rocky Mountain passes, the prairies, the Canadian Shield, construction zones, bad weather, and wildlife on the road.

Moss summed it up on X: “We have successfully completed the world’s first Canada coast to coast fully autonomous drive! This was accomplished with Tesla FSD v14.3.3 with absolutely 0 disengagements of any kind even for all parking including at Tesla Superchargers.”

Olsen said the trip proved where self-driving technology actually stands today. “Canada threw just about everything it had at us along the way… construction, animals on the road, poor weather, bad drivers, etc – and we still managed to pull it off. This is a major milestone in autonomy and will hopefully help prove to people where we actually are today with regard to self-driving cars.”

The achievement got noticed at the top of Tesla. Ashok Elluswamy, the director who oversees the Autopilot and FSD software that powered the entire drive, congratulated the team. Max de Zegher, Tesla’s Senior Director of Charging, whose Supercharger network the car relied on for every stop along the way, pointed out the moment had been a long time coming: “Trans-Canada Supercharger route opened in 2019 and now driven coast-to-coast autonomously with FSD.”

Tesla itself acknowledged the feat on X, posting: “Coast to coast from Vancouver to Halifax – 3,760 miles/6,051 km – with zero human input.”

The achievement mirrors a previous FSD coast-to-coast Cannonball run in the United States, which successfully navigated from Los Angeles to New York City without human assistance. Moss also previously made headlines in the U.S. by completing a multi-thousand-mile autonomous drive with zero interventions, so he’s no stranger to these FSD feats.

This was a crazy cross-country road trip with FSD and the trio allowed everyone to follow along in real-time. Pretty impressive stuff.
