Tesla to Launch Ultra-Exclusive ‘Signature Series’ to End Model S & X Era
Tesla is set to release a final, highly exclusive Signature Series run of its flagship Model S and Model X Plaid vehicles.
According to details shared by Ryan McCaffrey, the release will be strictly limited to just 250 units for the Model S and 100 units for the Model X, the latter of which will only be available in a six-seat configuration.
This special edition is an invite-only affair. If you didn’t receive an email directly from Tesla, you won’t be able to purchase one. To mark the occasion, Tesla plans to host a celebration event at sunset sometime this May.
While pricing remains under wraps, the list of custom features is extensive. The Signature Series will be finished in a unique Garnet Red paint. On the Model S, the door handles will be color-matched to the body. Both models will feature gold Tesla badges on the front and special Signature and gold Plaid badging on the rear.
The interior is equally bespoke, featuring a white cabin with Alcantara accents. The seats include gold Plaid badging and gold piping, while the dashboard will display a unique numbering plate, such as 1 of 250. Drivers will also find Signature-marked door sills, gold Plaid puddle lights, a yoke steering wheel, and a special interior lighting sequence upon entry.
Performance and hardware upgrades are also part of the package. The Model S version comes equipped with carbon ceramic brakes and gold calipers, while the Model X will retain the standard red Plaid calipers. The vehicles will ride on 21-inch wheels for the S and 22-inch wheels for the X.
Pricing is looking to be $159,420 US for the Model X, which is no joke for this awesome looking limited edition final run.
Every purchase includes a Luxe Package, a Signature Edition key fob, and black skull caps, which are expected to feature the Signature logo.
