No More Waiting: Starlink Just Ended All Waitlists Worldwide

Starlink just eliminated one of the biggest friction points for would-be customers: the waitlist. In a post on X, the company announced, “No more waiting for high-speed internet! We have removed waitlists for Starlink in every country where Starlink is available today.”

That’s a major shift for the satellite internet provider, which for years had capacity constraints in high-demand regions. Now, anyone in a supported market can sign up immediately — no delays, no queue, no “coming soon” banner.

The move comes just as Starlink surpassed 10 million active users worldwide, after already doubling its user base to 9.2 million subscribers in 2025 alone while expanding into 35 new markets. With waitlists gone, that growth rate could accelerate even further.

Starlink already dominates the category, accounting for roughly 97% of global satellite internet traffic. And it’s not just availability improving — the ordering experience is getting smoother too. In the U.S., customers can now order a connection in under two minutes through Starlink’s website or by calling 1-888-GO-STARLINK, thanks to a new Grok-powered AI customer flow designed to streamline purchases.

Taken together, the removal of waitlists and faster onboarding signal confidence in Starlink’s expanding network capacity. As more satellites come online and infrastructure scales, SpaceX appears ready to support even higher volumes of new subscribers without throttling access.

For customers in rural or underserved regions who previously saw “waitlist” when trying to sign up, the message is clear: service is ready now.
