SpaceX is quietly addressing one of the biggest complaints about Starlink: customer support.

According to a report from PCMag, Starlink’s once-limited customer service hotline has now expanded to 24/7 support. The company has also broadened phone-based assistance beyond the U.S. and Canada to include Australia and New Zealand.

For years, Starlink primarily handled issues through digital support tickets submitted via its app or website. In 2024, SpaceX quietly introduced a hotline for customers in the U.S. and Canada dealing with connectivity problems. Initially, the line operated only Monday to Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Central Time. It was later expanded to 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM before officially going fully 24/7, according to the updated Starlink FAQ.

The hotline numbers are as follows:

U.S.: 1-866-606-5103
Canada: 1-888-864-1321
Australia: +61 1800 953 804
New Zealand: +64 800 105 012

Starlink says customers must provide the phone number associated with their subscription to access live support. “Live support is available 24/7 for active customers in need of assistance,” the company says, noting that its Help Center and customer support chatbot remain available for common issues.

Customer service has arguably been Starlink’s most persistent weak point. While some users have praised quick hardware replacements and smooth resolutions, others have reported long wait times when relying solely on ticket-based support. A 24/7 hotline could significantly improve the overall experience — assuming call volume doesn’t overwhelm agents.

This move comes amid a broader push to improve Starlink’s customer journey. SpaceX recently integrated Grok, the AI chatbot developed by xAI (which it formally acquired earlier this month), into the Starlink ordering process, allowing customers to place orders in under two minutes via the website or by calling 1-888-GO-STARLINK (in the U.S.).

It also arrives as Starlink continues its rapid global expansion. The service doubled its user base to 9.2 million in 2025 alone and now accounts for 97% of global satellite internet traffic. With adoption accelerating and new markets opening, beefed-up live support may be less of a luxury and more of a necessity.
