Tesla’s Most Beautiful Supercharger Just Opened at a Bakery

A tiny town in Idaho just became home to one of the most charming Tesla Supercharger sites in North America.
In Deary, Idaho — population just over 500 — a family-owned artisan bakery and creamery called The Pie Safe has opened a privately owned, publicly accessible Tesla Supercharger site directly across the street from its restored historic building. The site, dubbed “The Pie Safe Supercharger” and located at 401 2nd Ave, Deary, Idaho, is part of Tesla’s growing Supercharger for Business program, which allows businesses to purchase and brand their own Superchargers while Tesla handles operations, maintenance, and network integration.
What makes this location stand out isn’t just where it is, but how it looks. Each Supercharger stall features artwork inspired by local trees, giving the site a distinctly regional feel — a far cry from the standard red-and-white or plain white stalls most drivers are used to. Despite the custom design, the chargers are full-fledged Tesla Superchargers, offering up to 325 kW charging speeds, a posted price of $0.39 per kWh, and 24/7 public access.
Crucially, these are “white-label” Superchargers. While the site is privately owned, it’s fully integrated into Tesla’s ecosystem, appearing in in-car navigation, supporting route planning and preconditioning, and working with all EVs that have access to Tesla’s NACS network. From a driver’s perspective, it behaves just like any other Tesla-built Supercharger.
According to the family behind The Pie Safe, the project is about more than charging cars. @isaacfrench_ said the Supercharger is part of a broader effort to revitalize Deary by restoring historic buildings and turning them into destinations — including a craft butcher shop, bakery, creamery, boutique hotel, and even unique railcar and farmhouse stays. With the nearest interstate or major airport two hours away, the Supercharger quite literally opens a new lane of traffic for the town.
This site follows other notable privately owned Supercharger launches, including Wawa’s first fully owned Tesla Supercharger in Florida earlier this week. Together, they highlight how Tesla’s Supercharger for Business initiative is reshaping EV infrastructure — not just along highways, but also in small towns willing to bet on electric travel.
For EV drivers, it’s another fast-charging stop. For Deary, Idaho, it’s a spark for economic revival — with excellent pastries waiting across the street.
