Tesla has officially launched a new way for drivers to fuel up, but it’s currently only available in China. As spotted by a Tesla North reader, the company has introduced several tiers of “Supercharger Passes” on its Chinese store. These passes offer a pre-paid solution for charging, providing owners with a set amount of electricity for a flat fee, which could lead to some decent savings for high-mileage drivers.

Based on the latest listings, Tesla is offering three distinct versions of the Supercharger Pass:

  • Supercharger Pass (Trial Edition): Priced at ¥79 (about $11), this entry-level pass includes 50 kWh of electricity. Tesla says this is enough to add about 250 km (155 miles) of range for a Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive. It must be activated within 30 days of purchase and is valid for 30 days once active.
  • Supercharger Pass (Enjoy Edition): This mid-tier option costs ¥599 (approximately $85) and steps things up significantly with 400 kWh of power. That’s roughly 2,000 km (1,250 miles) of range for a Model 3. This version is valid for a much longer 180-day period after activation.
  • Supercharger Pass (Commemorative Edition): For the power users, this ¥800 (around $114) pass includes 500 kWh (approximately 2,500 km or 1,500 miles of range) and is also valid for 180 days. Interestingly, this version includes a limited-edition magnetic bottle opener gift for the first 10,000 customers who claim it through the “Tesla Charging Life” WeChat official account.

Each of the cards can be customized with different graphics, including a celebratory image for the new year or a “Happy Birthday” message, making them interesting gifts for Tesla owners. The launch comes after Tesla Superchargers smashed records in 2025, with the network growing by 18% and delivering a staggering 6.7 TWh of electricity globally. In China specifically, the company has been busy opening its first V4 Superchargers, which feature longer cables and faster charging capabilities.

These passes are tied to the owner’s account and can be used by any vehicle under that account. However, they are currently restricted to Mainland China. It remains to be seen if Tesla will bring these Supercharger Passes to North America or if they will join the ranks of China-only exclusives, much like the three-row, six-seat Tesla Model Y L at the moment.

For now, if you are a Tesla owner in China, you will need to ensure your Tesla app is updated to version 4.52 or higher to purchase and manage these new passes.
