Tesla Opens Model 3 and Model Y Orders in Colombia

Tesla has officially opened orders for the Model 3 and Model Y in Colombia, marking the company’s long-anticipated entry into the country and its second market in South America. The order configurator is now live, with deliveries estimated to begin between February and March 2026 for both vehicles.

According to the online configurator, the refreshed Model 3 starts at 109,990,000 Colombian Pesos (approximately $29,600 USD) for the base Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) trim, while the Model Y opens at 119,990,000 Colombian Pesos (roughly $32,000 USD). Tesla is offering three Model 3 variants in Colombia, but Model Y buyers currently only have two options.

Here’s the full price list:

Model 3

  • RWD: 109,990,000 COP (around $29,600 USD)
  • Long Range AWD: 139,990,000 COP (around $37,700 USD)
  • Performance: 164,990,000 COP (around $44,500 USD)

Model Y

  • RWD: 119,990,000 COP (around $32,000 USD)
  • Long Range AWD: 144,990,000 COP (around $39,000 USD)

The launch comes just as Tesla announced it would begin demo drives in Colombia, starting November 21 in Bogotá and November 25 in Medellín. Demo drives will be available through December 31, ahead of customer deliveries next year. Tesla had teased its entry into the country last week with a cryptic video featuring a map of Colombia, and the official launch appears to have arrived sooner than expected.

Colombia is now Tesla’s second South American market after the company launched in Chile last year. Tesla deepened its presence in the region even further last month when it opened its first South American showroom in Santiago — a significant milestone as the company continues expanding its footprint on the continent.

While Tesla is now accepting orders in Colombia, it remains unclear when (or if) the automaker plans to establish a physical showroom or service center locally. Tesla has, however, launched a dedicated X account for Latin America, @Tesla_LatAm, which has been posting teasers and updates tied to the regional rollout.

With orders officially open and demo drives about to begin, Tesla is positioning Colombia as its next major market in South America — and given how competitive its pricing is in the region, demand is likely to be strong.
