Tesla Names Winner of Video Contest for New Model Y

Tesla has officially selected the winners of its TeslaVision fan video contest, with creator Arash (@MinimalDuck) taking home the grand prize: a new Model Y Premium. The automaker concluded the competition after a community voting phase among finalists that wrapped up on October 10.
The contest first launched on June 11 and invited fans across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to submit short videos (90 seconds or less) showcasing how Tesla brings more to their lives — from safety and freedom to convenience and fun. Submissions were originally set to close on July 17, but Tesla later extended the deadline to August 31 to give fans more time to enter.
Arash’s winning video focused on the safety benefits of Tesla’s vehicles. The clip follows a tired healthcare worker heading home after a long shift and activating Full Self-Driving (Supervised) to assist with the drive. When he dozes off behind the wheel, the vehicle’s prompts quickly wake him, underscoring how Tesla’s driver-alert systems can help prevent drowsy driving incidents. The video ends with the line: “Driving a Tesla could save your life.” Check out Arash’s entry below:

In addition to the new Model Y Premium, Arash will also receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Gigafactory Texas for an exclusive tour, alongside the contest’s runner-ups. The creator shared an email he received from Tesla congratulating him, noting the “strong community support” behind the entry and confirming the prize for “most cumulative likes” on a video.
The TeslaVision contest marks another example of the company tapping into its community for storytelling — a strategy Tesla has used in the past to amplify its brand through fan-created content instead of conventional marketing.
