Boring Company Testing Tesla FSD at Las Vegas Loop Ahead of Driverless Operation

The Boring Company has officially confirmed that it’s now testing Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (Supervised) technology inside the Las Vegas Loop, marking the next step toward fully autonomous operation in the underground transportation network.
“Initial Full Self-Driving tests in Vegas Loop from the Las Vegas Convention Center to the Encore Resort,” the company said in a post on X, thanking Tesla, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), and Wynn Las Vegas for their partnership. Tesla CEO Elon Musk replied to the announcement, adding that the Tesla vehicles operating in the Loop’s tunnels “will be driverless in a month or two.”
The announcement comes just days after the UAE government confirmed that The Boring Company’s first international tunnel will open in Dubai sometime next year. The project will mark the tunneling startup’s first venture outside the U.S.
Earlier this summer, The Boring Company also revealed plans for a new privately funded tunnel system in Nashville, Tennessee, dubbed the “Music City Loop.” Once complete, it will join the Las Vegas Convention Center Loop and the larger Vegas Loop network as part of the company’s growing portfolio of underground transit systems.
In September, the company launched a Global Operations Control Center in Bastrop, Texas, designed to remotely monitor and manage all of its tunneling and Loop projects.
Tesla FSD integration marks a major milestone for the Las Vegas Loop, which currently operates with human drivers in Model Y and Model X vehicles. Driverless operation will likely expand capacity and reduce costs as The Boring Company continues scaling its network across Las Vegas and beyond.
