Tesla Rolls Out FSD 14.1.1 Update with Random Braking Fix

Tesla has started rolling out Full Self-Driving (Supervised) version 14.1.1 to customers, following the initial release of FSD 14.1 earlier this week. The new update arrives with software version 2025.32.8.6 and includes the same release notes as 14.1, suggesting it’s an incremental patch focused on bug fixes and refinements.

Longtime Tesla watcher and FSD tester Sawyer Merritt (@SawyerMerritt) confirmed the rollout on X, sharing screenshots of the update on his Model Y and later posting footage from a nearly 30-minute drive using the new version. According to Merritt, this latest version fixes the “brake stabbing” and hesitation issues that some testers had reported with 14.1, significantly improving overall smoothness and confidence.

“I’ll go out again tomorrow to confirm,” Merritt said, “but so far, V14.1.1 feels really promising. Might be ready for broader public release.”

Tesla began rolling out FSD 14.1 earlier this week with software version 2025.32.8.5. The update added several new features, including customizable Arrival Options for autonomous parking, improved handling of emergency vehicles, and enhanced obstacle recognition for road debris. Early testers praised the system’s more human-like driving behavior and smoother decision-making.

FSD 14.1.1 builds on those improvements, aiming to polish the driving experience ahead of a likely wider rollout. Elon Musk previously teased that FSD versions 14.2 and 14.3 will follow over the next few weeks, introducing major refinements that he said would make the system “feel almost like it is sentient.”

With Tesla’s FSD team pushing frequent updates and addressing tester feedback quickly, version 14 continues to represent one of the company’s most significant leaps toward full autonomy yet.
