Elon Musk says Tesla’s next major Full Self-Driving (Supervised) update, version 14.2, will begin rolling out “in a few weeks,” with FSD 14.3 to follow shortly after, pending the results of ongoing safety testing. The new update timeline was shared by Musk on X, where he noted that there are “many more Tesla self-driving V14 improvements still to come,” adding that the company is carefully validating every change before a wider release.

This announcement comes as Tesla officially begins deploying FSD 14.1 with software update 2025.32.8.5 to early access testers and a small number of customers. The latest release delivers what Musk has described as the biggest leap forward for Tesla’s driver-assistance software since version 12.

Among the standout additions in FSD 14.1 are Arrival Options, which let users choose where the vehicle should park — such as in a driveway, parking garage, or curbside — along with enhanced routing, emergency vehicle handling, and real-time detour management through Tesla’s vision-based neural network.

Musk has repeatedly emphasized that FSD 14 represents a major leap in AI sophistication, previously describing version 14.2 as the one that would make a Tesla “feel almost like it is sentient.” Interestingly, even Tesla’s official release notes for FSD 14.1 list “overall smoothness and sentience” as upcoming improvements, suggesting that version 14.2 may deliver a noticeable jump in driving refinement and perceived intelligence.

The broader rollout of FSD 14.1 began Tuesday morning following a brief delay caused by a last-minute bug. Early testers have already reported dramatic improvements in smoothness, decision-making, and parking capabilities, with the update now able to autonomously find and park in open spots at destinations.

With version 14.2 expected to follow in the coming weeks — and 14.3 soon after — Tesla’s FSD evolution appears to be accelerating faster than ever. Musk said that the team is “carefully confirming each change,” hinting that even more significant improvements could be on the horizon.
