Tesla FSD 14.1 Impresses in First Test Drives [VIDEOS]

Tesla today officially started rolling out Full Self-Driving (Supervised) version 14.1 with software update 2025.32.8.5 to early access testers and some customers. The highly anticipated release marks the biggest step forward for Tesla’s FSD since version 12, and early testers say it’s blowing their minds.
Full Self-Driving (Supervised) 14.1 introduces a range of new capabilities, including Arrival Options that let drivers choose where the car should park — whether in a parking lot, driveway, garage, curbside, or on the street. For the first time, Tesla vehicles can now automatically find and park themselves once they reach a destination, without requiring the driver to take over.
Early testers are reporting significant improvements in usability and responsiveness, noting that FSD now starts much faster than before and even remembers your preferences for Arrival Options and preferred parking positions for each destination. In addition, the car’s visualization now glows blue when FSD is engaged, offering an intuitive cue for active self-driving.
Among the other notable updates, FSD 14.1 adds enhanced handling for emergency vehicles, improved detour navigation through Tesla’s vision-based neural network, and a new Speed Profile called “Sloth,” designed for more cautious driving. It also refines performance in complex scenarios such as unprotected turns, lane changes, and navigating around road debris.
In early testing videos, FSD 14.1 has been shown autonomously parking in open Supercharger spots and even precisely parking at the exact location pinned by the user on the navigation map. Here’s a roundup of first-drive videos on FSD 14.1 from Tesla enthusiasts who have already received the update:

The update has also reached testers in Canada, with an early drive from YouTuber Canada FSD showing smoother maneuvers and more confident decision-making compared to previous versions.

As major an update as FSD 14.1 is, Elon Musk previously said that your Tesla will “feel almost like it is sentient” when version 14.2 comes out. Alongside the wider rollout of FSD 14.1, Musk confirmed on Wednesday that Tesla plans to release FSD 14.2 “in a few weeks,” with version 14.3 set to follow later.
