Tesla has announced plans to open its first dedicated showroom in Abu Dhabi, partnering with real estate developer Aldar to build a new Tesla Experience Centre on Yas Island. The facility will combine a showroom, service centre, and delivery hall under one roof, making it the first of its kind in the UAE capital.
The purpose-built site will span more than 5,000 sq. meters of leasable space, offering 170 dedicated parking spots equipped with 20 V4 Tesla Supercharger stalls. Designed to deliver both an elevated customer experience and streamlined operations, the project is expected to strengthen Tesla’s presence in the UAE while supporting its broader growth strategy in the Middle East.
Jassem Saleh Busaibe, CEO at Aldar Investment, said: “This build-to-suit development for one of the world’s most recognisable brands represents another step in the evolution of Aldar’s industrial and logistics offerings. It reflects the confidence global companies have in Aldar as a partner of choice, and in Yas Island as a strategic base for long-term growth.”
Pawel Trzpis, General Manager at Tesla Middle East, added: “We are excited to expand our operations in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, with our first purpose-built site. We look forward to welcoming our current and future customers to experience this site upon its public opening. This milestone solidifies our focus and commitment to expanding in the region.”
Sustainability will be a key focus for the project. The Experience Centre is targeting Estidama 3 Pearl certification and will incorporate net-zero-aligned design principles such as rooftop solar, rainwater recycling, low-emission building materials, and high-efficiency HVAC systems.
The new Tesla site is strategically located along the E12 highway, providing strong links between Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Construction is expected to be completed by 2027.
The announcement comes as Tesla continues to expand its footprint and product offerings across the Middle East and Asia. Tesla also opened its first pair of Tesla Experience Centers in India earlier this summer.
