Tesla to Open Canada’s Largest Supercharger Site in Ajax, Ontario

Tesla is putting the finishing touches on what will soon become the largest Supercharger site in Canada. Located in Ajax, Ontario, the new station features 44 next-generation V4 stalls and is now in its final phase of construction.

Crews have been working at the site since May 2025, and according to contractor JML Electric, the team last week started completion work and terminations to prepare for inspections, testing, and utility connections before the chargers can officially go live.

All of the stalls at the Ajax location are Tesla’s new V4 Superchargers, which come with longer 3-meter charging cables for improved accessibility, multiple safety and durability enhancements, and a design that better accommodates non-Tesla vehicles. Earlier this summer, Tesla started rolling out V4 Superchargers in China, the country’s first, with more installations expected worldwide in the months ahead.

The Ajax installation will add to Tesla’s growing Canadian Supercharger network, which is also accessible to an expanding number of third-party EVs. This expansion aligns with Tesla’s ongoing goal of making its Supercharging infrastructure the backbone of fast charging in North America.

While Tesla had listed Ajax as a site set to open in 2025, the exact launch date will depend on local utilities, which sometimes delay final activation by weeks or months. Once operational, the new Ajax Supercharger will significantly boost charging capacity for Tesla owners and other EV drivers in Ontario, especially given its strategic location along busy travel routes east of Toronto.
