Tesla has started rolling out software update 2025.32.3, introducing several notable new features and refinements for its vehicles (via Not a Tesla App).

The biggest addition is a Frontal Airbag System Enhancement feature for the Model Y that uses Tesla Vision to improve crash protection. By leveraging the company’s integrated camera-based Vision system, the airbags can begin inflating and restraining occupants earlier in the event of a frontal collision.

Tesla says this upgrade builds on existing regulatory and industry crash testing, effectively making its vehicles safer over time through software. There’s no word yet on when, or if, this feature will make its way to the rest of Tesla’s lineup.

Also included is Low Power Mode, available across all Tesla models and designed to conserve energy while a vehicle is parked by disabling features that continue to draw power. Owners can enable it manually for extended parking, or set it to activate automatically at a chosen battery percentage. References to Low Power Mode were first spotted in the Tesla app last month, with the feature pegged to debut in version 2025.32.

Meanwhile, Rave Cave — Tesla’s playful light show mode — now remembers your settings and will automatically activate when shifting into Park if previously enabled.

Other refinements include Dog Mode’s minimum temperature now being adjustable to 64°F (18°C), updated range estimates that account for battery aging on legacy Model S and X vehicles, as well as security fixes and general performance improvements.

This latest software release follows Tesla’s rollout of xAI’s Grok chatbot in vehicles starting with update 2025.26 back in July. Looking ahead, recent code uncovered in the Tesla app also suggests a new gamified “Challenges” system with rewards could be in the works, hinting at Tesla’s continued push to engage drivers beyond driving.

With safety upgrades, energy-saving features, and improvements to fun aspects like Rave Cave, update 2025.32.3 demonstrates Tesla’s ongoing strategy of enhancing its vehicles long after they leave the factory.
