Tesla Cybervan and Cyber-SUV Designs Spotted in Master Plan 4 Video

Tesla this week revealed its Master Plan Part 4, and while the document itself was light on specifics, a promotional video shared alongside it contained a surprising Easter egg: never-before-seen Cybertruck-inspired vehicle designs.

During one segment showing a clay model of Tesla’s upcoming Cybercab robotaxi inside the company’s Design Studio, eagle-eyed netizens — including longtime Tesla watcher @sawyermerritt — noticed additional scale models sitting on a shelf in the background. Among them were two intriguing design studies: a minivan-style vehicle and a large SUV, both with the same design language as the Cybertruck.

The SUV-like model features a blockier front fascia and taller rear end, giving it proportions more in line with a family hauler than a pickup. Meanwhile, the van-shaped model could hint at early concepts for a so-called Cybervan, an idea Tesla has teased before with sketches of a Robovan concept alongside the Cybercab. Take a look at the models in the video below:

While these designs sparked plenty of speculation, it’s unlikely they’ll make it to production. Tesla has previously said the Cybertruck’s stainless steel exoskeleton won’t be carried over to future vehicles, and the company’s latest Master Plan makes clear its primary focus has shifted toward artificial intelligence, robotics, and energy rather than expanding its vehicle lineup.

Still, the fact that Tesla even mocked up these models suggests the automaker has at least explored Cybertruck-inspired designs beyond the pickup itself. Whether a Cyber-SUV or Cybervan ever comes to life remains to be seen. Tesla CEO Elon Musk said earlier today that he plans to “add more specifics” to Master Plan Part 4, though it’s unlikely those details will include any Cybertruck-inspired vehicle designs.
