The NACS-to-CCS adapter lets these vehicles plug into over 23,500 Tesla Superchargers nationwide. It’s the only adapter Honda has tested and approved for safe use with its EVs. The adapter costs $225 USD and is available through Honda and Acura dealers or online at the Honda DreamShop.
To charge at a Tesla station, drivers will still need the Tesla app for now. Honda says it’s working on making charging easier in the future by integrating this with its own apps and adding “plug-and-charge” functionality.
Drivers can also use their car’s built-in Google Maps to find Supercharger locations.
This move is part of Honda’s plan to make charging easier for its EV customers. By 2030, the company says Honda and Acura drivers will have access to around 100,000 fast-charging points across North America, including networks like Tesla, EVgo, and the upcoming IONNA network.
