Tesla Shares Nevada Semi Factory Construction Update [VIDEO]

Tesla has shared a new progress update on its dedicated Semi truck factory, currently under construction in Nevada — and things are moving along fast.

According to the official Tesla Semi account on X, the facility now features a completed stamping shop, and tools are being installed in both the Powder Coat and Material Conveyance shops. The account also shared a short video clip detailing some of the new tooling and ongoing buildout inside the factory — check it out below.

This update follows our first look inside the Semi factory back in April, when Tesla revealed interior shots showing early structural work at the site. Located near the existing Gigafactory Nevada complex, the new facility is being built to support full-scale production of the Tesla Semi — up to 50,000 units per year once fully operational.

The Tesla Semi is the company’s all-electric Class 8 truck, designed to replace diesel rigs without compromise. Tesla says the Semi is not only more energy-efficient but also delivers better torque and lower operating costs than traditional heavy-duty trucks. Earlier this month, logistics company ArcBest completed a pilot with the Semi, praising its real-world performance and reliability. Longtime Tesla partner PepsiCo has also been trialing the vehicle for its fleet over the past couple of years.

The factory update comes as anticipation builds for a broader rollout of the Semi, which was first unveiled in 2017 and began limited deliveries in 2022. With production tooling now going in, it appears Tesla is edging closer to ramping up one of its most highly anticipated commercial vehicles.

Stay tuned as we track continued progress on the Tesla Semi factory build.
