Tesla Cybercab Makes Sneaky Appearance in Promo Video

Tesla’s upcoming Cybercab appears to have made a subtle appearance in the company’s latest Fourth of July promotional video. In a brief scene showing employees at work, a distinct door panel resembling the Cybercab’s design can be seen, sparking fresh discussion about the highly anticipated vehicle.
As highlighted by well-known Tesla watcher @SawyerMerritt on X (formerly Twitter), a Cybercab door can be spotted in a brief scene of Tesla employees working inside one of the company’s U.S. production facilities. The scene shows a distinctively shaped door panel that closely matches previously seen Cybercab designs. Tesla’s official @Tesla_NA account posted the full promo video, which celebrates the company’s American manufacturing efforts.
For those unfamiliar, the Cybercab is an upcoming two-door, all-electric autonomous vehicle designed specifically for Tesla’s Robotaxi service. The futuristic-looking EV is expected to feature sleek, minimalist styling with sliding, scissor-style doors that swing upwards for easy passenger access, and it has been spotted in multiple prototype forms.
Back in April, gigacasting parts believed to be destined for the Cybercab were photographed at Gigafactory Texas, hinting at active development for the vehicle’s unique body structure. Tesla’s use of large front and rear gigacastings should allow for simpler manufacturing and fewer components overall, key for a high-volume, cost-efficient ride-hailing vehicle.
Additionally, Tesla has been seen testing multiple Cybercab prototypes around Giga Texas over the past several months — including one spotted with a steering wheel, hinting at the (albeit unlikely) possibility of a manual option.
While Tesla has yet to officially unveil the Cybercab, sightings like this continue to fuel speculation that the highly anticipated EV could debut soon, especially after Tesla’s rather successful Robotaxi pilot launch in Austin last month.
For now, keep your eyes peeled — Tesla seems to be dropping subtle hints about its next-gen vehicle with increasing frequency.
