In celebration of Independence Day, Tesla is shining a spotlight on its deep American roots — highlighting its growing U.S. manufacturing footprint and commitment to supporting military personnel and veterans.
“We believe in building more than just sustainable vehicles and energy solutions – we’re building a company that exemplifies American innovation and supports those who served,” Tesla said in a blog post.
The all-electric pioneer now employs over 1,500 veterans across its North American operations. Through its Military Fellowship Program, launched in partnership with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hire Our Heroes initiative, Tesla provides military service members with corporate experience during their transition out of service. High-performing individuals can graduate to full-time roles, creating a strong pipeline of veteran talent.
Veterans also benefit from Tesla’s Military Purchase Program, which offers a $1,000 discount on any new Model S, Model 3, Model X, Model Y, or Cybertruck for verified active-duty military members, veterans, retirees, spouses, and surviving spouses.
Tesla also emphasized its growing U.S. production footprint, with Gigafactories in California, Texas, Nevada, and New York. The company said its domestic manufacturing strategy continues to create thousands of American jobs and bolster supply chains.
“Our manufacturing presence in the United States continues to expand, creating thousands of jobs and strengthening domestic supply chains,” Tesla noted. The company invested a whopping $10 billion in U.S. manufacturing and infrastructure last year alone.
Tesla’s results speak for themselves — the electric vehicle (EV) maker secured all top four spots on the 2025 American-Made Index from Cars.com. The Model 3 reclaimed the #1 spot as the “Most American-Made” car of 2025, followed by the Model Y, Model S, and Model X. This marks Tesla’s fourth consecutive year at the top of the index.
This comes as Tesla dominates the U.S. EV market, with 151,000 units sold in Q2 2025. Tesla’s Fourth of July celebrations also include a limited-time paint promo, offering free red, white, and blue paint upgrades on the S3XY lineup through July 14.
